Applying for a Letter of Administration requires all relevant details of the deceased’s assets.
If there is no will, a family member needs to apply for Letters of Administration before the deceased’s assets can be distributed. The entitlements of each family member to the estate of the deceased are set out under the Administration and Probate Act and the property is distributed according to this Act.
